Green Beanery is a non-profit Canadian company that supports the environment and sustainable development by making available to the public niche coffee beans, produced by small farmers around the world, that would otherwise be unavailable in the marketplace.

Coffee farming is the single largest employer in the world, responsible for the livelihoods of millions in the Third World, yet because niche coffee markets are undeveloped, and because government policies often discriminate against small farmers, the citizenry in developing countries are unable to realize their potential. We work to develop markets for small coffee farmers, whose crops are overwhelmingly organic, as part of our effort to promote sustainable practices around the world. At the same time, we strive to educate the public in the western world about the benefits of small scale coffee production, benefits that also enhance our daily lives by providing us with products that are fresher, more healthful, more flavourful and more affordable.  

We have been in business since 2004 and have earned the loyalty and praise of an extensive clientele. The Alexa utility, operated by Amazon, ranks the world's 16 billion websites in operation today. To be among the world's top 100,000 websites is a big deal. We are delighted to not only be in the top 100,000 but to rank in the top 25,000, among the very top coffee sites.

Of every 1 million pages viewed on the web, 25 are now on the Green Beanery site. Of every million Internet users today, about 23 will visit us. We hope we'll be deserving enough to have you often be among them.
